"This dress turned out to be frumpy. Also no zipper, so a little difficult to pull on and off. I will not get good use of it because of the frump factor. Maybe to a Little House in the Prairie reunion? Purchased on line and on sale so can’t return or exchange for something else. Too bad. I really love my other spartina purchases."

A loss, even on sale.
"This XL dress would not go over my chest until I found the well disguised zipper….however trying to get that zipper up by yourself is a nightmare. I was considering pliers but again, difficult to manage on your own and you might break the zipper by forcing it to open. I finally managed to get the zipper up, however the dress was skin tight with an empire waist and I was stuck in it for several minutes, trying to maneuver the zipper to open. The fabric is beautiful but heavy creating a maternity look to this dress. The dress had great potential if the waistline hit at the waste instead of under the bust. Unfortunately, it was a sale piece, therefore non returnable. In noting model bust sizes and Spartina’s propensity for specialized waist details, I have decided that the Spartina line of clothing is not designed for women who are endowed with a large bust. As an aside, articles of clothing with smocking often do not fit well endowed women well, creating that maternity effect. . In the future, I will be very cautious in the type of waste line a product has prior to purchasing."

"The floral details of this dress are absolutely gorgeous! Love that the fabric is on the heavier side, making it perfect for a cooler spring/summer evening. I sized up for a more relaxed fit, but probably could’ve squeezed into my normal size!"
Trouble with zipper
"Fit fine but could not maneuver zipper even with help from husband. Dress fabric is very heavy. When I returned it they charged a restocking fee. Not thrilled about that!"
