While calling to inquire about product prior to purchase I was informed “ will not tarnish with lotions& water”
"The gift recipient explained the info about the bracelet reads: “water resistant not water proof”. Thus it Can and WILL tarnish with water & lotions overtime. The customer service rep assured me this is “a line of Spartina jewelry that can get wet, okay with lotions & fine to get wet as it is a part of the specific collection of Spartina. The sales rep was misleading and evidently does not know the products well. The recipient was my mother. I’m not pleased and didn’t think this was costume jewelry. If Spartina is going to do it correctly and be at a certain price point make items with more gold so no tarnish and water proof. Over the years my young daughters bought various necklaces from another collection and sure enough they tarnished with a drop of water. Would not be spending this money on items as such. Up the game and make jewelry with more gold or whatever it is so that there is absolutely no tarnishing with all of your jewelry. Disappointed. Would not have purchased bracelet knowing it is not water proof as my mother spends her days in the pool without taking jewelry off. This was picked out by the granddaughters while I called to confirm about the tarnishing as girls have Spartina tarnished necklaces they can’t wear. Disappointed in quality of bracelet."
