McAllister Capsule
Overlooking the Ogeechee River, Fort McAllister has a history dating back to 1861. It was built with earthworks intended to protect against naval attacks rather than on-land battles, preventing it from falling to attacks until General Sherman’s March to the Sea in December of 1964. Fort McAllister now serves as a scenic State Historic Park for historical education, waterway access, picnicking, and more. With earthy hues and pops of pink, our McAllister capsule is inspired by building into our natural surroundings.
