Nestled in the Nantahala National Forest since 1882, the Kalalanta house has been a home and summer oasis for people and spirits alike. Now owned by Spartina owner & founder Kay Stanley, the home is one of the highest residences east of the Rocky Mountains and can be translated from Cherokee to “near heaven.” The view is so divine that the ghost of a sea captain is known to enjoy it from a rocking chair on the porch, emptily rocking away with no breeze felt by anyone around.

Inspired by Kay and the Captain’s love for mountain and sea views, our Kalalanta capsule collection mixes sea foam and navy in classic plaid and floral prints with complementary browns and creams.
